Celebrating Our Friendship With "Yaroon Ki Baraat"

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out - Walter Winchell

This quote always stand true in my life. My friends are always by my side when others are not. Nothing better than friendship can happen in your life and my life is always full of lovely friends. There are some I spend most beautiful times of my life, some with whom I have done many mischief's, some I haven’t met or even being on call for long but still they can recognize my voice over phone even after 4-5 years, and some whom I never met but still we share a strong bond.

Good things come in as sudden surprises. My best buddy in school ( we laughed and cried together, studied and played together, get rewarded and punished together, we stayed together as much as possible), left school as his father got transferred to a new city with new goals given. We lost contacts and slowly and gradually the memories got buried in loads of burden of studies to establishing careers, returned back to my life with a arrange marriage proposal (Strange But True).

Love Filled Life - Blessing
And gives a new meaning to our friendship….

Grown Up, Well Settled,
At Our Respective Abodes,
Our Family Decided,
Marriage Should Touch Our Life’s Chords.

A Search For A Perfect Match Starts,
Time Files, Memories Fades But Our Faiths Don’t Parts,
One Fine Day,
A Marriage Proposal Rings A Bell,
The Name On Bio, Have A Special Story In My Life To Tell.
My Old Best Buddy Comes Out,
Out Of My Memory Chest,
Reminded Me Of Most Precious Times We Have.

Fights For The Last Bite Of Samosa,
Or Last Sip Of Soda,
Those Two Seat Cycle Rides,
Back Seat Possession A Coin Toss Decide,
Hiding Own Homework Books,
Just To Make Sure We Are Punished Together,
Sharing Every Award With Each Other,
Fighting To Be Together In Team Game,
Going Mad Over Those Who Don’t Take Together Our Name,
Participating Together As A Team,
Moaning Loss And Celebrating Wins,
Studying Together, Playing Together,

*On That Day*
Being Together Like One.
That Was My Friendship With That Name.
Deep Thoughts In Mind,
For Our Upcoming Arranged Meeting,
And The D-Day Arrive,
I Can Sense The Same Confusion In His Mind,
Though That Meeting Was Too Formal,
And The Confusion Remains Unanswered,
With Our Acceptance, Our Fate Was Fixed,
And Starts The Period Of Our Courtship.

First Meeting After Years, So Many Unanswered Questions
None Of Us Even Tried To Ask,
But Answers Found The Way Without Being Asked,
He Visited My Place For The Engagement,
While Going Through An Old Album,
He Stumbled Upon My Childhood Pic,
His Hand Stops, And Eyes Begin To Shine.
He Looked At Me And Smiled,
And Said, I Never Knew Here’s What We Are Destined.

I Was Shocked, But Super Happy,
Not Because It Was My Engagement Day,
But Because I Met Him Again,
My Childhood Buddy.

Now We Are Together For Five Years,
With No Chances To Be Away,
We Are Connected That Way,
After All We Are Each Other’s Better Half.
Nothing Is Changed In Our Friendship,
We Just Have An Addition To Our Gang,
Our Little Champ.

School Buddies Now SoulMates

Book Review - Destiny Of Shattered Dreams By Nilesh Rathod

Destiny Of Shattered Dreams

Author : Nilesh Rathod
Genre : Fiction
Publisher : Rupa Publications

Book Cover
Designed by Mugdha Sadhwani. A beautiful amalgamation of colors shows dreams and crack represents shattered. In whole it represents the book’s title “Destiny Of Shattered Dreams” perfectly.

Book's Epigram :
The story is about the professional and personal journey of Atul Malhotra, how he gone through the different aspects of business where he was forced to incorporate the politicians and invest their black money. His married life which was already been through the bad phase and got more disturbed due to these engagements. The story begins in the prison where Atul was found guilty and sentenced few years in prison. There he shares his cell with two other prisoners and they share their stories with each other. Atul has been shown a very strong character who had made a big empire of billion dollars. He has also been awarded as youngest entrepreneur award as well. He is very smart and prudent about official issues and tackling them. His problem started when he join the telecom minister and was forced to invest his black money of 20,000 crore in his business and offer him a partnership of 25%, in turn the minister does some favors to promote his company. Later he got an offer from Finance Minister and that deal he find more suitable and accepted that. How the black money travel across the nations and how it was invested via different means is been shown in the novel. The influence and grasp on those minute point shown strongly from writer’s end as he himself is an owner of the company. How Atul gone through the ED crisis and other corporate related problems shown very well in the novel.

Parallel to this how the Atul’s married life was affected that he already considered almost finish and did nothing to tackle. He became a father but stuck on some murder incident that caused him late to attend his wife and later becomes one of the reason of his divorce. How a chemical factory in Uttar Pradesh is a favorite destination to settle the murders is very well described. Writer has not left any story trace unattended anywhere in the book, he addressed the whole story, which is very positive and impressive attribute of the author.

My Critique:
The book is nicely written and to the point. The story has a flow that keeps you with itself. The book is written in multiple chapters and every chapter is appropriately lengthy. Initial part of the book discuss a lot of investment figures and other planning which is a bit difficult to understand for those who don’t understand the corporate culture. But later the story gears up and multiple incidents started and the reader becomes one with them. End part of the book is also very important, the writer has shown the emotional aspect of the character very well. This portion is really very touching and you feel pity on the character. From the writing style the author has shown his command not only on corporate activities but emotional and relational perspective as well and that too very strong. The book is very well written and very precise according to the story. Undoubtedly this book is worth reading and will add charm to your personal library.

Rating : 4 / 5

Know Chikunguniya - Stay Protected, Live Healthy

Being a sufferer of Chikunguniya, I know the pain follows. Though fever subsides in 2-3 days but you may suffer from other side effects. I have suffered rashes, nausea and fatigue for around 2 weeks and even after almost a month, I am still dealing with joint pains.

With more than 1000 cases reported in Delhi till now, it has become extremely important to understand Chikungunya and its prevention. According to World Health Organization (WHO), the disease shares symptoms with dengue and can be easily misdiagnosed especially in areas where dengue is common. It can be the case even my doctor got test of Dengue done ad symptoms are quite similar. So follow your doctor's advice and get all tests done.

Chikungunya is characterized by an abrupt onset of fever frequently accompanied by joint pain. Other common signs and symptoms include muscle pain, headache, nausea, fatigue and rash. The joint pain is often very debilitating, but usually lasts for a few days or may be prolonged to weeks.

Most patients recover fully, but in some cases joint pain may persist for several months, or even years. Occasional cases of eye, neurological and heart complications have been reported, as well as gastrointestinal complaints. Serious complications are not common, but in older people, the disease can rarely contribute to the cause of death.

The virus is transmitted from human to human by the bites of infected female mosquitoes. Most commonly, the mosquitoes involved are Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, two species which can also transmit other mosquito-borne viruses, including dengue. These mosquitoes can be found biting throughout daylight hours and are found biting outdoors, but Aedes aegypti will also readily feed indoors.

After the bite of an infected mosquito, onset of illness occurs usually between 4 and 8 days but can range from 2 to 12 days. Serological tests, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), can confirm the diagnosis with presence of IgM and IgG anti-chikungunya antibodies.

The most common signs and symptoms of Chikungunya are:
Flu- chills, fever, headache and aching joints
(Joint pain can particularly occur in hands, wrist, ankles and feet which can last from weeks to months and can even continue for a year)
Nausea, Fatigue and Rashes.

Treatment of chikungunya is directed primarily at relieving the symptoms, including joint pain and rehydration and later you can have prescribed dose of paracetamol, whenever you have fever. Intake of lots of fluids also help in quick recovery.

Prevention and control relies heavily on reducing the number of natural and artificial water-filled container habitats that support breeding of the mosquitoes.
How To Protect Yourself from Chikunguniya :

1. Wear full length cloths to minimize skin exposure.
2. Apply skin repellents to exposed skin.
3.Use nets especially while sleeping during the day hours.
4. Don’t let water accumulate near your surroundings.
5. Check for overflowing garbage bins.
6. Empty flower vessels and change the water to avoid mosquito breeding.
7. Make sure the bathrooms are dry and toilet seats are down when not in use.
8. Mosquitos are generally attracted to smells like perfume and sweat. Shower to remove sweat and use unscented shampoos.
9. Spray mosquito repellent that contains DEET, if you have balcony garden or one in the veranda. You can grow marigold and lemongrass as they are natural insect repellent.
10. Use plug-in, smokeless mosquito repellent and Limit the use of smoke coils to outside or well ventilated indoor areas.

She Opened A Blank Notebook....

It's a different day, her last day at her home. It's her wedding day and she know she will be a entries new person from tomorrow.

She has an amalgamation of feelings at that moment, a feeling of happiness as she is getting married to a man whom she loved from last 8years and after 4years of both family's disagreement the day has arrived and a feeling of sadness as she knows everything in her world will change from tomorrow even her name.

With lots of thoughts in her mind she opened a box full of memories which she collected for 25years of her life with few special memories from every year of her life. She just started going through her 25years at her Dad's palace where she was the only princess.

Her memory treasure chest have her first and Softest tiara which was bought by her dad when she was born and in her pic of that moment there's a board saying 'Our Princess'. While going through her life's flashback she stumbled upon a blank notebook.
She Opened The Blank Notebook and her eyes was filled with tears, she stood still and move back to her life...

That was an amazing day,
Ohh, it's her birthday,
Wearing her beautiful Cinderella dress,
She start walking on her school's way.
Everyone was just mesmerised,
Seeing A 8years Big Princess passing by.

She was glittering with joy,
Her friends are gifting her beautiful toys,
Among all beautiful toys,
She recieved a beautiful notebook,
With an beautiful glittering Cinderella cover,
As beautiful as her.

She was enchanted, and her eyes go bright,
Her notebooks glitters are reflecting Sunlight.
She run back home,
Throw all gifts and hold the notebook tight,
Rushed to the phone,
And dialed a call to her Dad,
With a spark of happiness in her sound,
She told her dad about the beautiful notebook she got.
Requested him to get a cover for the book,
And ordered him to forget not.

Whole day long,
She was just comparing her notebook and dress shine,
And gleaming with happiness that both are mine.
Her dad reached home with cake and cover,
She was more happy to she the cover
And again requested him to protect her notebooks beauty,
He write her name on book,
And covered it with a transparent cover beautifully,
To keep its beauty intact.

They bid each other goodnight,
And moved to there rooms,
That night her world turned,
Next morning she heard her mom cry,
Her Dad was in deep sleep forever.

That day she cried gazing at her Dad's last writing,
She was sad, seeing her name,
She locked the notebook in her box of memories,
After covering it in a black paper.

Today, when she saw the book,
She felt her dad by her side,
Her dad's memories went so bright,
The beautiful bride, cried loud that night,
She left her home with her dad by her side.

Dad's princess once and forever,
She said, dad you always remembered.
