Every home is beautifully painted canvas and it looks even more beautiful when painted with Asian Paints. Visit Asian Paints Colour Store at Connaught Place, New Delhi to see and realize how Asian Paints create magic with colors.
On the occasion of Worlds Interiors Day , I feel privileged to be a part of unique movie inspired workshop on interiors with renowned Film production designer, Shruti Gupte on 27th May. Asian paints Signature Store Colour Store at Connaught Place was setup with the aim of educating consumers and interior décor enthusiasts on colours and designs and how it can change their space.
With Shruti Gupte who designed homes and interior spaces in films such as ‘Aisha’, ‘Taare Zamin Par’, ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Lunch Box’, and others, Asian Paints organised an event centered on theme “Intelligent & Inspirational Interiors, from Silver Screens to Your Home“. This Colour Store initiative offered consumers the unique opportunity to bring to their homes, the look and feel that they love, admire and aspire for, from their favorite films. The brand is determined to encourage consumers to take that leap and be experimental and creative with their décor choices in a appropriate manner.

Shruti possesses a deep understanding of the style and sensibilities of the modern-day consumers. Through examples of her films, she covered various aspects from designing homes of characters in movies, to tips on how consumers can use designs seen in movies as an inspiration while decorating their homes.

Shruti explained while designing set for art mela for kids in Taree Zameen Pe, she used lots of flowers to make the ambiance colorful and fun-filled whereas while designing sets for Aisha, she uses simple colors to focus more on the characters of movie. She also let us know, how lights play important role in designing. She added textures, fabrics and colors plays equally important role in designing spaces.

Shruti Gupte shared, “We as consumers need to make ourselves the heroes and heroines of our own movie scripts. Colors and textures are not to be feared but embraced as part of our personality. Our personal and professional environments are an extension of our personality and should inspire our days, help create memories or convey our aspirations

At the end, we all had an awesome DIY activity and created mood boards. I created my mood board with full of colors and textures that reflect my joyful mood at that point of time.

“From sharing insights on how to choose the right colour to offering firsthand experience through interesting DIY activities, we have always strived to engage consumers on painting and décor through events and activities at the Colour Store. Since films are known to inspire us in many ways, the Colour Store has collaborated with ace Production Designer, Shruti Gupte, for World Interiors Day to bring inspirational home décor ideas from the silver screen to consumers.” … Added Amit Syngle, President-Sales, Marketing & Technology, Asian Paints Ltd.
