Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories: reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery includes craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns.
Reconstructive surgery is used for medical purposes or to reconstruct an issue; on the other hand, cosmetic surgery is used to enhance the appearance of a person. Although there is a great difference between both procedures, there are many benefits to undergo them.

Myth #1: Plastic surgery is used to improve appearance only
FACT: No one deny that many plastic surgery procedures can help you look good and feel more confident and its very valuable in itself

Men are also benefited from it. Men are the majority of patients who undergo calf augmentation, hair transplantation, chin augmentation, and pectoral implants. Procedures common for men include:

• Cellulite treatment

Myth #3: Plastic surgery results last forever.
FACT: You may experience quick and noticeable results. You can alter the effects of aging, injuries, or other imperfections using plastic surgery, but your body will continue to change and age after the procedure.
Few lifestyle changes can make the results last longer but not forever:
• Changes in your skincare routine to maintain your skin health
• Maintain a healthy lifestyle, so that you didn’t get weight removed during surgery back.
• Surgical touch-ups to maintain results
Even with all lifestyle changes, you might need another procedure. Nearly ½ of all patients are repeat patients. Although chances that you’ll need to repeat procedures depends on which procedure you have in the first place. For example, you may need to get multiple Botox injections, but breast implants last much longer.

Myth #4: Plastic surgery won’t give you any scars.
FACT: Plastic surgery involves reshaping your body and requires incisions. There are multiple ways to reduce the size of scars and make them less noticeable but it’s impossible to completely avoid scars.

FACT: Plastic surgery is like any medical procedure. Every plastic surgeon have their own expertise and one can be better than other.
Whenever you search for a surgeon, consider asking them:
• Whether they are certified under any board for plastic surgeon. The board maintains training and professional standards for plastic surgeons.
• How long they have been performing the procedure because experience matters
• Do check the before and after photos of previous surgeries.
Before going under the scissors with any of them, be sure he have all the qualities you are looking for. Be comfortable with your surgeon, that will surely enchance your overall experience.
