    So Mommy Needs To Think,
    What Can Be Done.

    So This Summer Vacation,
    Mom Son Duo Have Craft Mode On,
    With Little Supplies And Lot Of Fun,
    We Decorated Our House Corner.

    So, To all Mommies out there here I am some easy craft activities to spend quality time with your little kiddo😍

    Supply Needed
    Old CD
    Used Bottle
    Icecream Sticks
    Chart Paper
    Velvet Paper
    Glitter Sheets
    Satin Ribbon
    Egg Crate
    Carton
    Toy Eyes(I get them from old broken toy)
    Sketch Pens.

    Pen Stand Using Icecream Sticks
    1. Paste 20 Icecream Sticks On A Chart Paper(Side by Side – Horizontally)
    Make sure you paste half stick on paper n half remain above paper and leave extra paper on one end.
    2. Roll it in and paste the extra paper on one end to inside of other end.
    3. Give base using a chart paper.
    4. Tie the upper end with Satin Ribbon.
    5. Cut a butterfly(or any other design) using glitter sheet and paste to decorate.

    Pen Stand Using Old Bottle
    1. Cut The Bottle In Half.
    2. Cut A Frog Using Chart Paper and paste on bottle.
    3. Cut and paste feet cutouts in front of bottle.
    4. Cut small circle using glitter sheet and paste on cheek.
    5. Paste black circles cutout and small eyes on it.
    6. Draw feet to make it look perfect.

    Snail Using Egg Crate
    1. Cut egg crate to get a horizontal line. ( i use green crate)
    2. Place glitter sheet cutouts on sides and top to decorate.
    3. Cut and paste two stings using glitter sheets.
    4. Paste eyes. And snail is ready.

    Hanging Fish Using CD
    1. Cut fins, tail and mouth using glitter sheets.
    2. Paste glitter sheets on CD on respective place
    3. Paste fish eye.
    4. Paste a loop with satin ribbon to hang it.

    Dog With CD
    1. Cut face, feet and tail for a dog.
    2. Paste them all respective place on CD.
    3. Use Sketch pens to make outline and draw face.

    Sweet Home Decorative
    1. Cut a rectangle piece out of carton(I used amazon carton😜 have loads of them😂)
    2. Cover it with velvet paper.
    3. Paste a small cutout of chartpaper on it and help “Sweet Home” on it.
    4. Cut flower, leaves n heart shapes using glitter sheets and paste to decorate.
    5. Cut the corners to make design.

    This is what me & my kiddo did in last few days and enjoyed summers in craftly ways😍

    I have most of the supplies at home, and all are easily available in any stationary store.. So mommies make most out of rest of the holidays and enjoy few craft activities.

     I Am An Excavator, Hey Dirt, See You Later, I Am An Excavator

    My son’s love for construction vehicles especially Excavator is forever. He plays with them, even his story time is all about construction vehicles in action.

    So when my son had a Show And Tell Competition in his school, where they need to talk and enact like something they love. For me its an Excavator.

    My son is die hard fan of excavator song on a youtube channel.  My 3.5years old boy just keep singing it. To enact like an Excavator, he needs to dress like one..

    So mommy and daddy turned an amazon box to excavator. It was a lot of imagination, hard-work and time that results into the perfect output needed.

    Things I Used :

    Amazon Box, Yellow and black chart paper, loads of fevicol, black tape and black satin ribbon

    How Its Made :

    We made it in parts.

    1- body, for which used amazon box main body and removed the sides and covered it with yellow chart properly and designed with black tape

    2- Tracks, my son is very precise that excavator runs on tracks and hence we cut the box sides in desired shape, covered it with black chart and designed with yellow chart n black tape.

    3. Arm and bucket – we used the sides of the cardboard to make the desired shapes, covered with yellow chart and designed and strengthened with black tape.

    Its was a big effort but every bit of it was loved when I saw my son performing on stage and everyone appreciating his and ours efforts.

    Motherhood surely makes you feel proud when you see you little one grow and these little success value alot. Also every day make you learn something new.

    With my son’s competition, I learned a new lesson of creativity and learned how allowing my son choose and be free in is space made me more proud. Personal space is a must for kids development and for its creativity to bloom.

    Kids Culinaire Festival returns with its 3rd edition in the capital to be held on February 18th and 19th at PSOI Gardern, Nehru Park,  from 10:30am to 6:30pm.  McVitie’s endorsed by Kajol is the title sponsor for this year festival.

    This Fun Food Festival for children was started by Pilcrow Communications in 2015, with the aim of making food ‘fun’ for children and thus bringing about a transformation in their eating habits. It has been designed keeping little ones and their parents/caregivers in mind with fun workshops, interesting information, exciting activities and cool contests. Founders of Pilcrow Ratika van Noord Bhatnagar and Rohini Mathur share a closer look – “We don’t say “don’t eat candy” but focus on balance, to achieve what Popeye has with spinach. Through this festival, we also hope to raise awareness about some relevant concerns around food today, such as lifestyle diseases, proper hygiene, waste segregation and much more”.

Children can also take a journey through the “Edible Routes – Food Cycle” starting with the story of a seed, sowing it, harvesting, processing and finally composting the waste to be used again in sowing.

    Children have always been fascinated by both science and cooking. This year we bring them together with a new zone run by the same name “Science and Cooking” where you can see for yourself why there’s a difference in pancakes and crepes.

    My little love turned into three years big boy on 9th October and  I still feels is just yesterday when I hold him very first time.

    She can create magic with her creativity. When we first spoke, she was super confident and eager to help me with my Son’s birthday decorations as she loved the Theme of construction vehicles and I trusted her confidence.

    Stories and growing up goes hand in hand. In my childhood, I am always in my imaginary world weaving stories about everything others can’t even think of. 

    So is my little love these days. At an age of 2.5years, he is a big story lover and spend every night with us (me and his dad) listening story one day and narrating same story again and again for next few days until he get bored.

    Being a construction vehicles lover, his stories was always around crane, excavator, dump truck, tow truck and many more until four new colgate strong teeth packs with interesting sea creature and a trivia inside them arrived my place.

    He being too small to handle scissors, I cut and collected all the pictures inside the pack and started making him familiar with the creatures and trivia. Thanks to his growing age, always increasing knowledge bank and his love to watch National Geographic with his Dad, he quickly related with all kind of fishes shown, enjoyed the castle and deep sea and discarded the pirate saying “Darta Hai” means he is afraid of that pirate.

    At bedtime, his story session begin again but this time he insisted to listen stories about sea, fishes and castles. With little images and related trivia pics a new storytelling session started which made my son familiar with pirates too.

    And a story created by me and my hubby is beautifully reframed into a new story by my little love with his sometime confused sentences. His memory and beautiful imagination left us flabbergasted and made us feel proud.

    My little loves narration :

    Once a group of Pirates are on their unending journey in sea. A pirate couple of leads the group. Their instructions are followed by everyone on the ship even the parrot never overruled their instructions.

    While flying high in the sky, parrot saw something on the land of nearby island, he seeked permission from the leaders to get what he saw.

    Parrot came back with a rolled paper held tight in his claws and handle it to the master of the ship. He carefully opened it and found that it’s a map to some old treasure dumped in the sea. And he carved to get the treasure. After a fierce discussion on ship with the group and his beautiful wife, he decided to jump into the sea and check for the treasure himself. After sailing for few miles, their ship reach the location where according to the map, the treasure is dumped deep in the sea. 

    He was awestruck with the beauty of sea. Beautiful corals and creatures were catching his attention. He has never seen the inner beauty of sea, he sails always. He was surprised seeing so many different fishes he never saw before and was enjoying the beauty of the world inside the sea.

    Than he saw a beautiful castle inside the sea. He was amazed with the beautiful castle and swim towards the castle. A beautiful mermaid was playing with her playmates a shiny starfish, an energetic turtle and a beautiful puffy fish playing with water.  He swim towards the mermaid and asked her about the treasure and she directed her towards a wrecked ship.

    He swim towards the wrecked ship, glitters of the treasure shows its presence from a distance and he was super happy to found such a big treasure but his happiness get ruined as soon as he saw a big shark, crab, lionfish and octopus guarding the treasure.

    He swim back to his ship as he was getting breathless and told everything to his group. They decided to go down together and bring the treasure up.

    A gang of four, leader of the ship, his wife and two other strong members of his pirate group swim back to the treasure.

    Pirate : We are here to take the treasure with us as we have found it.

    Octopus : We own these beautiful glitters, they shine and make my sea beautiful. You can’t take it.

    Pirate : I have searched for it, for all and will not go without the treasure.

    Shark : I am afraid but you can’t.

    Pirate : You really don’t know it’s worth and it’s simply useless for you all.

    Octopus : The impressive glitters is all we want. We can’t allow you to take it.

    Pirate : So you want only what glitters and nothing else?

    Octopus and Shark, together said Yes and showed agreement.

    Pirate : Let’s share the treasure , tell me what glitters the most. I will leave that for you take the rest.

    Octopus points towards glittering gold coins.

    Pirates agreed, and they collected all precious stones including diamonds, rubies, pearls and much more and left all glittering gold for the Octopus, shark and others guarding the treasure for its glitters.

    Pirates bids adieu, to the sea creatures and beautiful sea world.

    Though excited to get a big treasure, they all are mesmerised with the beauty of sea and keep thinking about it for long.

    I Started To Have Touch Fear,
    But Then I realized Birth Of Mother Brings Strength,
    Strength To Pamper The Softest Souls,
    Strength To Be Tender For All,
    The Caring Mom In Me How To Care,
    With Given Opportunity, It’s Time To Share.
     
    The moment I hold my little for the first time,  he was just a few minutes boy, covered with a layer of blood and wrapped in blue towel. That was the first moment of mine with my softest.  And a tear rolled down my eyes thinking whether I will be able to keep it that soft forever. Just after few minutes of my son’s birth, I gather all my strength to stand and accompany nurse to give my little love the first bath.
    And that was the moment, when mom born in me decided to take care of the softest and his softest skin.

    “Listen To Everyone, But Do What I Feel Best For My Baby” I decided my little ones skin care routine which I am following till now even with my 2 years little love and can proudly say he is still the softest as he was on the day of his birth.
    Sharing My Skin Care Routine, Hope It Helps All Mommies Or Would Be Mommy.
    Special Skin Care Routine Of My Baby :
    1. Pre Bath Routine : Mix Turmeric powder and milk apply on your baby from top to toe and let it dry and then give him a warm water bath and don’t use any cleanser on baby. It gives softness to little love’s skin.
    2. Oil Massage : A mommy in me strongly believe that oil massage after every bath keeps babies body hydrated and gives there skin a radiant glow and keep it soft.
    You can take any oil you preferred. I used olive oil for my baby. Applying oil just after drying him will help seal in the moisture of the bath and allow the skin to get hydrated.
    3. Moisturization : To keep littles skin soft forever,  keep it moisturized. Apply little of any baby cream or oil u prefer after bath and also between change of diapers or pee poop routine. I apply mixture of glycerin and rose water in equal portion.
    4. Homemade Uptan : I make two uptans for my son and apply it every second day followed by warm water bath in a sequential manner.
    First, is a mixture of egg yolk and honey. And second one is a mixture of almond oil and yogurt.
    5. Right Choice Of Diapers : Baby got worst skin issues if not provided with right diapers and correct size.  Where diapers are concerned I prefer Pampers always as they make best diapers with zero leakage, more soaking capacity, always dry and soft to baby skin.
